Milwaukee Bucks (1 - 0) - Wednesday, November 2, 2005, 7:30PM EST - Continental Airlines Arena
Boguted Out
So, how's the whole number one pick of the draft thing working out, Andrew Bogut? Bogut, arguably the best big man in the draft, seemed to have a starting position willed to him with his #1 pedigree up here in Bucks-ville until a late pre-season, potential chemistry altering trade was made to acquire Jamaal Magloire from the Hornets for F Desmond Mason, a first round pick, and cash. Now, this is one tall team, with Bogut (who's a legit seven-footer) joined on the front lines by Magloire, Dan Gadzuric, Ervin Johnson and Toni Kukoc (all 6' - 11") and Joe Smith at 6' - 10". That's impressive, especially when you consider how vertically challenged the Nets can be.

In any case, Michael Redd, fresh off his re-upping, is here to bomb away from outside when the paint gets too crowded, and TJ Ford also returns from his gruesome piledriving into the court that forced him to miss all of last season. Bobby Simmons, who was instant offense as the league's Most Improved Player with the Clips, also signed on to join this mile-high club. Restocked and significantly lengthened, can the Bucks Bogut a win out of the Nets? Or will the newly armed bench help New Jersey's Tall Trio of Kidd, Carter and Jefferson to an opening night, home victory?

Milwaukee Bucks Cheat Sheet
The Story From Milwaukee: The Bucks beat the Sixers in overtime, 117 - 108 after Michael Redd sent the game to OT with a three pointer with less than one second remaining in regulation after helping to erase a 7 point deficit with 70 seconds left.

G TJ Ford played his first regular season game in 20 months and did ok, with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 14 assists. "There's no limitations at all," coach Terry Stotts said. "I know there's a lot of concern and interest, but from our perspective, he's 100 percent been cleared. He's ready to go and he's quick as ever."

Former head coach Terry Porter was replaced by new head coach Terry Stotts. What were the odds that there would be two consecutive coaches named Terry? Or one, for that matter???

Pain Game: F Josh Davis and G Jiri Welsch are nursing ankle injuries and are expected to be de-activated.
