The Nets West Coast swing is over, but no rest for the weary (and injured) as the Hawks and the Big Dog come to town. Big Dog Glenn Robinson, the Hawks new moneymaker, is leading the Hawks in scoring and rebounding, and he's got impressive help up front from Shareef Abdur-Rahim, who's stats virtually mirror big dogs. The way the Net forwards have been playing, this spells trouble, big time. Can the Hawks swoop into town, spread a little cash and shots and swagger out with a win? Or will the Nets check the Hawks at the door, put in a tough defensive effort and keep the Hawks from spreading their wings?

The Story From Atlanta: Atlanta expected more from this team than the 25 point drubbing suffered to Orlando on November 26th in which neither big time forward was a factor. Combine that with the fact that the Hawks have already lost to the Nets in the Continental Arena and the Nets weariness from their 5 game Western swing, and you've got the makings for trouble.
Pain Game: DerMarr Johnson, G (broke his neck in a near-fatal car accident over the summer, out for the season), Dan Dikau, G(knee surgery) and Nazr Mohammed, F (stress fracture in foot) are on the injured list.
