5 Second Rule
Hi Champagne/Joe:
That 5 second call (A.K.A. the 'Mark Jackson' Rule) on J. New from a few nights ago was one of those new rules that was supposed to make the league more exciting. A player can no longer dribble with his back to the basket for 5 seconds. However it takes about 8-9 seconds for a 3 second violation to be called on da Knicks...as seen on Saturday night.

One more comment: Did Al Trautwig remind you guys a little bit of Jim Grey?

Earl:
Ah, now we remember. And yes, Al Trautwig sure did remind us of that little weasel Jim Grey.
